We have been asked to come up with a 'brief' for what we want the outcome of our animation project to be. This is a pretty scary thought, as we have only had three sessions so far, and i really don't know yet where i want to take my project. So, unsurprisingly i havn't yet decided on a 'working title' or even decided on the subject matter of what my film will be. This isn't because i havn't enjoyed or been inspired by the module so far, in fact, the opposite... everything we have done so far from animating objects to animating drawings has interested me and made me want to experiment further. I have really enjoyed the processes, and if possible i intend to combine both in my project rather than concentrate on one.
I have been particularily inspired by Blu and his wall-art animations. I would love to incorporate something similar into what i do... however it is probably an unrealistic aim for me to be able to work on outside walls in the city, as it is technically illegal, and i would only be able to access it for limited time. This means that I will probably attempt to use Blu's techniques but on a much smaller scale as in maybe a canvas on my wall at home, which i could work on any night, or even just on paper in the way that we did in our first session.
However, aswell as working with animated drawings, i would also like to include animation of 3D objects as i was really impressed with how successfully this worked when we made the film 'Reflection' (also on this blog). I have been considering what type of objects i could work with but until i come up with some sort of theme or genre for my film, i have found this almost impossible.
To combine the animation of drawings and objects, I have thought that maybe i will have objects in the foreground of my film and drawings as a background...
These are all the ideas that i have so far...
