Another exercise we did in this project was to build our animal out of shapes. We started off being able to use as many shapes as we like, and then were asked to simplify it down to ten shapes, and then 5.

Here you can see my animal built out of lots of shapes (inverted)... and then that shape coloured in block black to see the interesting outline it becomes... and then it accompanied by my 5-shape design, here used to represent a baby.

It was a challenging and time-consuming exercise but i did really make me think about the use of shapes, and learning how to simplify an image.
