These are some of the portraits i did for our copycat project. We had to draw 20 images of a celebrity that was given to us, experimenting and developing as we went along. I was given Mabel Stark who is a pretty cool person really! I'd never heard of her but she was a tiger tamer in the 1920s... which is pretty amazing when you think that's before women even had the vote! She was passionate about big cats, and dedicated her life to them. Although being mauled several times throughout her career she never gave it up, right up until her death. At one point she faced 18 big cats in the ring!
